✍️ Build Trust Through Reflection

Hi Reader, trusting ourselves isn't always easy, especially in new or tough situations. Reflecting on our past achievements will help us build self-trust for what we are going through today.

To start this week, pick one thing that you are struggling to trust yourself with. The question can be: What am I doubting myself about?

Try and narrow this down to the smallest component that is causing doubt. The more specific you are the more you can narrow in on what will help you build trust.

Next, create a list of times you were successful or made it through difficult times. This list of things does not need to relate to what you are currently doubting. It is anything that you have found success with. Just because you might be struggling with a work issue doesn’t mean that a success in gardening won’t help!

It also doesn’t have to be focused only on things like work, school and fitness. You can include moments of emotional resilience; mindset shifts and fun life things – like cooking a meal you haven’t tried before.

You may want to put this list in digital format so you can continually add to it. It makes it easier to go back to it when you need to do this journaling exercise again.

Then one at a time explore each time on your list to show yourself how you had or built trust.

The following are questions you can use for exploration.

  • Did I know at the beginning I was going to be successful?
    • If yes, did I lose that belief at some point? What did I do to get out of the doubt?
  • How did I keep myself motivated when I was struggling?
  • What made me successful with this?
  • What similarities are there between this situation and what I am facing today?
    • How can I harness these similarities to build trust in what I am doubting now?

Keep going through each item on your list until you find a way that you can build trust in yourself today. You may find that what worked in two completely different situations, when combined, is what you need today!

Hi Reader, This week has been fulll of ups and downs for me. The type where I have to stop and ask - this this really what I want? How do I feel about this? Not only because of the intensity that is in our world right now, but from the astrology happenings (which have been big) and all that added to just regular life. But, I am able to manage the ups and downs because I have spent over a decade working on emotional healing, spiritual growth and understanding myself. These have allowed me to...

It's the journey not the destination

Hi Reader, it's me showing up in your inbox on Thursday and not Sunday. Why? Because my spirit team and I wanted to adjust how we are sharing spiritual lessons with you. For a couple months now, something felt off. With the help of my team, I realized that while weekly energies are important to know, many of the lessons my team and I were sharing are helpful anytime. We all experience life differently and are at different phases of our life. So, a lesson for this week might be great for one...

Happy Monday Reader, Moving from thinking about change to taking action can feel overwhelming. Often, instead of making the changes we want, we stay stuck in contemplation. This week, we’re going to shift you from reflection into action. Start with this prompt: What changes have I been pondering that it is now time to make? Begin by creating a list of everything you’ve been thinking about changing—without judging or committing to anything yet. Include the big and small. Everything from...
